Death Stranding e Control foram os dois jogos com mais indicações para o BAFTA Games Awards 2020, o prestigiado prêmio da Academia Britânica de Artes do Cinema e Televisão.

As últimas criações da Kojima Productions e Remedy tiveram 11 indicações cada uma, mas curiosamente Death Stranding não concorrerá na categoria Jogo do Ano.

Os hits independentes de 2019, Disco Elysium (7), Outer Wilds (5) e Untitled Goose Game (4) também concorrem em vários quesitos, juntamente com títulos de grande orçamento como Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (5), Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (4) e Luigi’s Mansion 3 (4).

A cerimônia de entrega dos prêmios BAFTA Games 2020 ocorrerá na quinta-feira, 2 de abril. O diretor Hideo Kojima será o homenageado da noite com o prêmio BAFTA Fellowship.
